PIMCO Hires Quintet For Emerging Market Equities In London, New York, Singapore

US international asset manager PIMCO has appointed five investment professionals to complete the emerging market equity team for its London, New York and Singapore offices.
John Longhurst joins as senior vice president and head of emerging markets equity research. Based in PIMCO’s London office, Longhurst was previously an analyst at global finance advisor Capital International Research - a division of the Capital Group.
Richard Flax joins as senior vice president and emerging markets equity analyst, also located in the London office. Flax is former executive director of equity research for global investment specialist Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he also served as co-chair of the emerging markets investment committee.
Andrew Pyne, based in New York, joins as senior vice president and emerging markets equity product manager. Previous to his new role, Pyne was managing director and client portfolio manager at GSAM.
Laura Schlockman starts as an equity product manager, also New York-based. She was previously an equity product manager with the US asset manager OppenheimerFund.
Raymond Goh joins as an equity trader. He joins PIMCO from US finance specialist Capstone Investment Advisors, and will be based in the Singapore office.
PIMCO is owned by Allianz Global Investors, and has offices in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. It is a subsidiary of the Munich-based global financial service provider Allianz Group. Its assets managed outside of Europe stand at $175 billion, totaling $1.3 trillion worldwide.
