Oyster Consulting Makes Senior Hire In Compliance Push

The financial services consulting firm said the hire was in response to the industry's “increased spotlight on compliance culture”.
Oyster Consulting has hired Natalie Smith, former chief compliance officer and chief operating officer of investment office Mangham Associates, as a senior consultant.
Smith joins as part of the firm's growth drive in the investment advisor space, which includes wealth managers, money managers, hedge funds, and mutual funds. She will be based in Richmond, Virginia.
She spent eight years at Manghan, which manages around $2 billion on behalf of endowments, foundations and high-net-worth families. There, she was responsible for investment operations, compliance, operational due diligence, risk management, client service, client and internal reporting, administration of internal pooled vehicles, human resources, accounting and technology.
“Her experience as a COO, in addition to having been a CCO, will add significant value to our clients that must align their compliance program to how they operate their businesses,” says George Jennison, Oyster Consulting president.
