Old Mutual hires four new fund, SMA wholesalers

Investment-product peddler wants to cozy up to "key distribution
channels". Denver-based Old Mutual Capital has hired a clutch of
senior wholesalers to support an aggressive campaign on behalf of
its mutual-fund and separately managed account (SMA)
programs.
The new hires are Sentinel Financial Services' former director of
national accounts George Endres, Jim Gallagher, former head of
sales development at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (now part
of BlackRock) Mark Kiniry, national sales manager and director of
investment strategy at Lincoln Financial's Delaware Investments,
and -- also from Delaware Investments, where she was head of
retail products -- Debra Landsman-Yaros.
Wide and deep
"These individuals possess the expertise and industry contacts to
help [Old Mutual Capital] build upon its momentum," says Bruce
Johnston, CEO of Old Mutual Capital's distribution subsidiary Old
Mutual Investment Partners. "Through their efforts, Old Mutual
will expand and deepen its relationships across key distribution
channels."
Endres has been made chief distribution officer of Old Mutual
Capital, which distributes investment products from Old Mutual
Asset Management, a consortium of 19 investment-management
affiliates.
Gallagher is v.p. for Old Mutual Capital's eastern U.S. region,
and Kiniry is his counterpart in the firm's central U.S.
region.
Meanwhile Landsman-Yaros has been appointed v.p. for national
accounts, a new position at Old Mutual Capital.
Old Mutual Asset Management is the U.S. investment-management
group of London-based financial-service company Old Mutual. Old
Mutual's global asset-management businesses had $528 billion in
assets under management on 30 June 2007. -FWR
