Offshore Law Firm Enhances Footprint With BVI Merger

Offshore law firm Collas Crill will boost its presence in the Caribbean.

Collas Crill is set to merge with British Virgin Islands-based law firm Farara Kerins at the beginning of 2017, subject to regulatory approval.

Collas Crill, which already has a presence in Singapore, the Cayman Islands, London, Guernsey and Jersey, will trade as Collas Crill-Farara Kerins for a transitional period in the BVI, while retaining its original name elsewhere. The firm’s BVI offering will include funds, corporate and dispute resolution work.

“Many of our clients across the world have asked us to have a presence in the BVI. It is a direct response to their needs and represents an exciting development to help us to further assist our clients with their global requirements. It allows us to provide a seamless offering across all our jurisdictions,” said Collas Crill’s group managing partner, Jason Romer

Collas Crill’s clients include financial institutions, high net worth individuals, international businesses and funds.
