Carey Olsen, the Channel Island law firm, has appointed Nicolas Journeaux and Fiona Fleming to its London office; both are partners in the firm’s Jersey’s offices. The move is part of Carey’s ongoing efforts to beef up its private clients and other operations in London—the firm recently opened new offices in the capital.

“Carey Olsen derives much of its work from City lawyers who require prompt advice in respect of a corporate transaction or to represent their clients in a litigious matter,” said Mr Journeaux in a statement.

He added: “Our move to new premises will make us even more accessible. We are now the only Channel Islands firm to put litigators in London to be able to meet face to face with the client and their advisers in preparing cases.”
