Northern Trust has appointed David Albright as global sales and marketing director for its family office group.

Albright has been at the Chicago-headquartered firm for 15 years and most recently led its business development efforts in the northeast of the US.

In his new role he replaces Shannon Kennedy, who has left Northern Trust.

“David has devoted his entire career at Northern Trust to serving our clients and their advisors. As a result, he has developed a deep understanding of the needs of our dynamic client base, which includes exceptionally wealthy families, global family offices, private trust companies, private investment companies and private foundations,” said Jeff Kauffman, head of the global family & private investment offices group.

Northern Trust said its family office group serves more than 20 per cent of the Forbes Magazine list of the wealthiest 400 Americans, as well as clients in 18 countries overall.
