Northern Trust has appointed Marie Dzanis, latterly of BlackRock iShares, as a senior vice president and head of ETF sales and servicing.

In her new role Dzanis will be based at Northern Trust’s Chicago headquarters, and lead the sales and servicing team for the firm’s FlexShares ETF range. She reports to Shundrawn Thomas, managing director and global business head of the exchange-traded funds group.

At BlackRock she led the Eastern US private client sales division for iShares exchange-traded products. Before that, she worked at JP Morgan Asset Management as vice president and regional manager for the Eastern US.

Just yesterday Northern Trust announced the launch of four new exchange-traded funds based on indices created and maintained by Markit and Morningstar. The products cover the natural resources sector, exposure to the US equity market and treasury inflation-protected securities.
