The firm has put the finishing touches on a business alliance that will open the way for more products and services.

A Singaporean private equity firm has become a shareholder of Nippon Wealth, the Japan-based business, adding to owners from Japan and Hong Kong and part of a capital injection.

The firm is Tribay Capital, Nippon Wealth said in a statement. So far, the largest shareholder of the business is Shinsei Bank. A total of 12 enteprises own Nippon Wealth.

As part of the strategy, Nippon Wealth said it will use Hong Kong as the staging post to roll out asset management services internationally.
