NewEdge Wealth Appoints Chief Investment Officer

The business services UHNW individuals and family offices, among others. The CIO role is a newly created one.
NewEdge Wealth, which focuses on advising ultra-high net worth individuals, family offices and institutions, has appointed Cameron Dawson as its first chief investment officer.
Dawson will also serve on the firm’s investment advisory board alongside NewEdge internal member Rob Sechan, chief executive, and Bill Englis, head of research. Outside members are Fundstrat Global Advisors managing partner, Tom Lee, Omega Family Office chairman and CEO, Leon Cooperman, GoldenTree Asset Management retired resident Robert Matza, and Fundstrat Global Advisors MD, Brian Rauscher.
A regular commentator in the broadcast media on financial affairs, Dawson frequently appears on Bloomberg, CNBC, and Fox Business, among many others. Prior to joining NewEdge Wealth, she was the chief market strategist at Fieldpoint Private Securities and a senior equity analyst at Bank of America.
“In today’s increasingly complicated market conditions, a key value we provide our clients with is expertise in assessing the broad investment landscape and thinking about ‘what’s next.’ Cameron’s dynamic and distinguished thought process makes her the perfect fit for this important role,” Sechan said.
NewEdge Wealth is a division of NewEdge Capital Group, which services more than $32 billion in client assets. In April, NewEdge Wealth added eight new senior team members to its headquarters and appointed managing director and head of wealth strategy, Robin Petty.
