New President Of Wells Fargo Advisors' Private Client Group

Wells Fargo Advisors, Wells Fargo’s broker-dealer arm, has appointed David Kowach as president of its Private Client Group, the brokerage’s largest channel.

Kowach replaces Jim Hays, who is now the head of Wealth Brokerage Services.

The PCG provides transactional and advice-based services through nearly 11,000 financial advisors. In running this business Kowach will report to Danny Ludeman, president and chief executive of Wells Fargo Advisors.

Before his latest appointment, Kowach led the firm’s business development group, overseeing advisor productivity, recruitment and retention, growth strategies and national sales. He has also previously ran private client services within the Private Client Group.

Wells Fargo Advisors is the trade name used by two separate registered broker-dealers and non-bank affiliates of
Wells Fargo & Company: Wells Fargo Advisors and Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network.
