New Multi-Family Office Appoints BNY Mellon Man As CIO

Sloane McCarron Capital Advisors, the newly-established wealth manager and multi-family office in Massachusetts, has hired Chris Pellegrino as managing director and chief investment officer.

Pellegrino joins from BNY Mellon and Standish Mellon Asset Management, where he led a team with $30 billion in assets under management. He is a member of the Boston Security Analyst Society and was chairman of its fixed income committee between 2007 and 2011.

The firm was launched last month in Quincy, Massachusetts, by Jonathan Sloane and Dennis McCarron. Its goal is to be a multi-generation and multi-family office that integrates asset management, asset protection, and family governance.

“Our experience has been that a large percentage of the registered investment advisor firms do not offer the comprehensive suite of services that are needed for genuine wealth management for families,” said McCarron.

“Family-owned businesses always struggle with succession planning, philanthropic legacy, conflict resolution and wealth transfer,” commented Sloane.
