New Family Office Firm Takes Flight

The organization is expanding with a wealth management practice in Texas and growing its presence in Naples and Dallas.

SagePoint Capital Partners has announced its formal launch as a family office firm.

The business serves entrepreneurs, multigenerational families, professional athletes, entertainers, creators, and other high-profile clients, the firm, which has more than $2 billion in assets under advisement, said in a statement yesterday.

The firm, which is expanding its capabilities for professional athletes, entertainers, and creators, is onboarding a Texas-based wealth management practice serving those clients, while growing its presence in Naples and Dallas.

"There comes a point when the question about wealth changes from 'How much?' to 'What now?'" Winston Justice, founder and CEO of SagePoint Capital Partners, said. "What are you building toward? What does your family need from this wealth? What should exist in the world because you were here?"

Justice has a background in professional sports, and was an NFL offensive tackle.

SagePoint is designed to serve as a central point of counsel. Each family works through a single relationship supported by professionals with experience across investment management, tax strategy, estate, due diligence, and private and public markets, the firm said.

"A family shouldn't have to become the project manager of its own wealth," Ranjeet Guptara, managing director at SagePoint, said.

SagePoint is headquartered in Franklin, Tennessee.
