New Emerging Markets Fund At JP Morgan Asset Management

JP Morgan Asset Management in the UK has launched a fund aiming to give investors exposure to high dividend-paying companies in emerging markets.

The JPM Emerging Market Income Fund will be managed by Richard Titherington, chief investment officer for emerging market equities at JP Morgan Asset Management, and will target a yield of 4 per cent.

The fund can have debt exposure of up to 20 per cent and will be assisted by the asset manager's emerging markets debt team led by Pierre Yves Bareau.

“I have said for a long time that UK investors have too much reliance on UK-centric funds for their income needs and are missing out on more compelling returns from overseas companies," said Mike Parsons, head of UK fund sales at JP Morgan Asset Management.
