New CIO Steps Into Role At California-Based Consultancy

As of February 2015, Loring Ward has $12.4 billion in assets under management.

San Jose, CA-headquartered Loring Ward, the provider of investment management and practice development consulting, has appointed Payel Farasat as chief investment officer.

Farasat replaces Joni Clark, who remains on the investment committee, the firm confirmed.

She spent the past seven years at Charles Schwab & Co, most recently as western region vice president and earlier as senior manager of strategic trading. Before Schwab, she was a financial advisor at Ameriprise Financial.

In her new role at Loring Ward, she will direct investment policy, research and portfolio management strategies for the company.
