Neuberger Berman Switches Data Warehouse

Neuberger Berman, the New York-based asset manager, has chosen Switch and Data, a provider of network-neutral data centres and internet exchange services, to house its critical operations infrastructure.

Neuberger has chosen a Switch site in the US which will provide the asset manager with enough space and power to cope with expansion as well as a service that provides remote technical support, post-deployment infrastructure maintenance and troubleshooting, the firm said in a statement.

Data centres are physical locations storing computers which house and secure information vital to a business’s IT infrastructure. A business can also use it to connect users and manage online traffic through a data centre.

“Reliable infrastructure is mission-critical for a financial services company and this deployment is a crucial element of our operations…we gain access to a modern, advanced site with the security, connectivity, and reliability needed to protect our systems today, as well as the space and power availability to scale for the future,” said

Paul Metzger, managing director at Neuberger Berman.

Switch and Data operates 34 sites in the US and Canada, serving financial services firms, content companies, and enterprise and communications service providers.
