Neuberger Berman Duo Launch Multi-Family Office

Two senior Neuberger Berman asset allocation leaders have set up a new business to offer wealth management services to individuals and families.

Former Neuberger Berman executives Matthew Rubin and Justin Gaines have launched Matrix Wealth Partners, a multi-family office in New York City.

The pair previously worked at Neuberger Berman’s investment strategy group. Rubin was a managing director at Neuberger Berman, chief investment officer at Neuberger's trust company and chairman of the firm's asset allocation committee. He has also worked at US Trust and Morgan Stanley.

Gaines was a vice president at Neuberger Berman and advised clients in the New York, New England, and Southeast regions on investment policy and portfolio implementation.

“We treat our clients like partners,” Rubin said. “We take the time to understand their histories, current situations and goals. We craft customized strategies. And we provide our clients with a level of information and transparency that enables them to remain involved and informed.”

Gaines added: “At Matrix, our approach to wealth management is unconstrained, flexible and accountable. We are not simply deciding which investments to undertake; we are an integral partner in the clients' overall objectives and success.”

Matrix Wealth Partners is affiliated with Matrix Advisors, a provider of corporate advisory services and private investment opportunities in real estate and operating companies.
