National Financial Partners taps new brokerage boss

Young comes to firm aggregator NFP from NY Life's BD and
investment units. National Financial Partners (NFP) has named the
former head of New York Life's broker-dealer Daniel Young as
president and COO of NFP Securities. In this role, Young will
oversee daily management of the NFP broker-dealer and tend to
related marketing relationship-building efforts.
Young reports to Jeff Montgomery, CEO of NFP Securities and head
of NFP Insurance Services.
Team builder
"Dan comes to us with a wealth of experience and professional
accomplishment," says Montgomery. "His experience in running a
nationwide business and track record as a team builder and
developer of marketing initiatives will help take NFPSI to the
next level."
As president and CEO of NYLIFE Securities and Eagle Strategies,
New York Life's RIA, Young New York Life's broker-dealer
subsidiary, Young directed the two subsidiaries during a period
of expansion that coincide with the advent of a new regulatory
and compliance environment. He has also worked as a corporate
attorney.
NFP's chairman and CEO Jessica Bibliowicz expects Young to make
an "important contribution" to the firm's future. "He joins our
team at a critical time in the growth cycle of NFP and NFPSI, and
we look forward to his strategic insight and operational
experience as we continue to expand the scope and level of the
services we offer firms and their clients."
