Morningstar has launched an app for iPad version of its equity newsletter for investors, with features like stock data, recommendations and market commentary.

The StockInvestor App connects investment strategies from the firm’s chief equities strategist Paul Larson to the latest data and research about each stock. Readers are also able to bookmark and organize articles, share them via Facebook and Twitter, and view charts, graphs and tables. They will receive alerts of trades in Morningstar’s Tortoise and Hare model portfolios along with full analyst reports of each stock in the portfolios.

The app, which is available for free, also has archives that are searchable by topic, stock ticker or company.
