Morgan Stanley's Graystone Consulting business has recruited the Stephans Van Liew and Oiler Group, an eight-member team in institutional consulting and private wealth management, in Chicago, IL.
The team’s three senior partners and managing directors - Linda Stephans, Kristina Van Liew and Erik Oiler - collectively have 80 years of experience working with clients including healthcare organizations, research institutes, university endowments, corporate pension plans, family offices and high net worth individuals.
They join Graystone from the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Private Banking and Investments Group, where they were senior members of the global institutional consulting team, overseeing $6.5 billion in institutional and private client assets.
Other team members include: Iftikhar Khan, vice president and director of business strategy; Patricia Zavagnin, vice president and group director; Niesha Parekh, vice president and director of business strategy; Eric Hatch, assistant vice president and institutional consulting analyst; and Alicia Garabedian, client service associate.
The group will provide goals-based financial consulting and asset management solutions to institutions as well as private wealth and multi-generational families.
In a similar move last September, Graystone hired The Brice Group (also from Bank of America Merill Lynch). They were a team of seven investment professionals brought in to serve institutional and individual clients in the Midwest.
