Morgan Stanley's Wealth Division Poaches Top Manager In Geneva

Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management has appointed a senior manager from Merrill Lynch in Geneva, Mauricio Sanchez, as executive director and head of Latin America operations. He will continue to be based in Geneva, the US-based firm said.

Mr Sanchez will report to Ernesto de la Fe, head of Latin America for Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management and Francois Andriot, CEO of Banque Morgan Stanley.

“We are committed to further expand our footprint and capitalise on the many growth opportunities we see in the region, and Mauricio’s appointment will be critical to our efforts,” said Mr Andriot.

In his previous role at Merrill Lynch, he spent over 20 years in various senior management positions in operations, finance, administration and sales covering Latin America from Buenos Aires, Miami, Montevideo, Santiago de Chile and Geneva.

In his most recent role, Mr Sanchez was the head of Latin America for Merrill Lynch Bank (Suisse) in Geneva.
