Midwest Regional President For US Trust Takes On Bigger Role

Bank of America has appointed Larry Otto, Midwest regional president for US Trust, to the additional roles of Missouri state president and St Louis market president.

Otto is a long-time BofA employee, having joined a predecessor institution of the firm in 1977. He replaces Patricia Mercurio in the state and market president roles, who has held them for over a decade but is retiring in October.

He will work with company leaders in the region to integrate business lines and grow the bank’s business and individual customer base. He will also oversee corporate and social responsibility initiatives in the region, such as philanthropic giving, community development lending and investing, and projects covering the environment, the arts, employee volunteering and diversity efforts.

“Larry has deep roots here in Missouri and extensive financial services experience,” said Brian Moynihan, chief executive of Bank of America.

In addition, as Midwest regional director for US Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management, Otto is responsible for teams delivering investments, trusts and banking advisory services to high net worth individuals and families across Arkansas, Kansas and Missouri.
