The author seeks to highlight the particular challenges – and accomplishments – of a rising generation of Latinas of wealth.

Miami-based financial services professional, Jeannie Marmol, has set out her ideas – aimed at the Latina population – in a book entitled "Millionaire Latina: 5 Pillars to Redefine Wealth."

"Too many Latinas are working hard, succeeding on paper, and still feeling financially stuck or unseen," Marmol writes in her book (cover below). "We've been told that wealth looks a certain way. That millionaires are born into privilege. That money is a taboo topic. It's time to rewrite that story."

Marmol sets out her life journey growing up in New York's El Barrio, known as the Spanish Harlem neighborhood, to her experiences in corporate leadership, entrepreneurship and financial empowerment in her career. Marmol is the founder and CEO of Millionaire Latina LLC, a financial education platform empowering Latinas to achieve financial confidence. She also co-owns MyIVSpa, a Miami-based wellness and IV therapy company. 

The Latina-owned business sector is growing rapidly and is an increasingly important field for wealth managers to engage in. A statement about Marmol’s book launch cited data showing that Latina-owned businesses are growing at a 6.3 per cent compound annual growth rate, surpassing the 3.9 per cent growth of White female-owned businesses.
