Merrill Lynch Recruits Six-Person Team From Rival

A former Morgan Stanley team has joined Merrill Lynch in Minnesota.

The Pohlen Terris and Kasper Group has joined Merrill Lynch's Bloomington, MN, office from Morgan Stanley, where they had $555 million in assets under management.

The new team members include: Larry Pohlen; Marc Terris; Michael Kasper; David Pohlen; Kathleen Vaughan; and Deborah Smith.

Larry Pohlen, a senior vice president of wealth management and advisor, has 20 years of industry experience. Before working at Morgan Stanley, he spent eight years as a program manager for TRW Avionics and Surveillance Group, and four years in the Air Force as secretary of Air Force Special Projects.  

Terris, also a senior vice president of wealth management and advisor, has 18 years of industry experience and has also spent time in the NHL as a free agent with the San Jose Sharks.

Meanwhile, Kasper, a vice president and investment associate, joins with 33 years of industry experience. Before starting at Morgan Stanley, he worked for ADC/Telecom government sales for two years and served in the US Navy for five years as a lieutenant.

David Pohlen, a financial advisor, has six years of industry experience and was also a lieutenant colonel in the US Navy before joining Morgan Stanley.

Vaughan, a senior registered client associate, has 21 years of industry experience and worked at Piper Jaffray before Morgan Stanley.

Lastly, Smith, a client associate, joins Merrill Lynch with 10 years of industry experience. Prior to Morgan Stanley, she spent 29 years in client relations and customer services.
