Merrill Lynch Adds Ex-BlackRock MD To London Portfolio Management Team

Merrill Lynch Wealth Management has appointed Guy Wynter as a senior portfolio manager within Merrill Lynch Portfolio Management.
In his new role, which is based in London, Wynter will manage the portfolios of high and ultra high net worth clients, working closely with the wealth structuring and advisory teams, Merrill said in a statement.
Wynter was latterly a managing director responsible for charity and pension funds at BlackRock Investment Management and prior to this was at Hambros Bank as head of UK equities covering pension and insurance funds. His 32-year career also includes his having been a fund manager for Rowan Investment Management.
“Guy has an outstanding track record in the financial sector. He will play an important part as we strengthen further our portfolio management offering to clients and will help us to build on our three pillar strategy of discretionary investment management, advisory and wealth structuring,” said David Jervis, head of EMEA Merrill Lynch Wealth Management.
Wynter’s appointment closely follows that of Edward Raymond as a senior portfolio manager within the discretionary team at EMEA Merrill Lynch Wealth Management.
He joined the firm from HSBC Global Asset Management, where he worked for 16 years, most recently as director responsible for the London region.
