Merged Argent Businesses Get Brand Makeover

Both businesses had merged into the Argent Financial Group, and now they are changing their names. These entities hold more than $2 billion of client money.

Heritage Trust Company of Oklahoma City and AmeriTrust Corporation of Tulsa are rebranding as Argent Trust Oklahoma, having both merged with the Argent Financial Group.

The firms have worked together for five years, but under separate brands. They continue to operate as a Oklahoma state-chartered trust company.

The combined entities are responsible for more than $2 billion of client assets. The rebrand will not change the ownership or structure of the firms, Aaron Jack, Argent Trust Oklahoma chief executive, said.

The name change will also more directly connect the company to the 35 Argent-branded offices in 15 states of the US.

Heritage Trust has offices in Oklahoma City and Ponca City with 35 employees. Founded in 1998, Heritage Trust merged with Argent Financial Group in 2015. Founded in 1997, Tulsa-based AmeriTrust has 16 local employees and merged with Argent in 2018.

As for the Argent Financial Group, it is responsible for a total of 37 markets and $65 billion of client assets.
