Mercer Continues Asian Expansion Push With New Investment Advisory Head In Hong Kong
Mercer bulks up in Hong Kong by naming a former Towers Watson executive as its new investment advisory head.
Mercer, the global investment consulting firm, has bolstered its Hong Kong office with a new investment advisory head.
Adeline Tan assumes the lead role in Hong Kong immediately and will be responsible for advising clients on long-term investment strategy and portfolio construction. She reports to Deborah Bannon, investments business leader for Greater China.
Tan brings over a decade of industry experience to this role, particularly in areas of risk and wealth management and general strategy consulting. She joins from Towers Watson in London, where she managed a team specialising in fiduciary services.
Mercer has been busy bulking up its Asian business in the past half year. In December, it appointed Lisa Sun as its new managing director and market leader for ASEAN after Su-Yen Wong was named senior advisor for both the firm and sister company Oliver Wyman. Two months before that, it named Cara Williams as head of wealth management in Asia, replacing Edmund Teo who left in April.
