Matson Money Widens North America Footprint With Canadian Pact

Matson Money, founded 29 years ago, operates coaching programs for advisors to guide them on investment strategies and how to avoid a number of pitfalls.
Matson Money, the US wealth firm overseeing more than $8.8 billion as at November 8, has inked a strategic alignment with Canadian advisory firm Origin Wealth.
The firm has also developed a version of its coaching event, “The American Dream Experience,” named “Breakthrough Investing,” targeted specifically for investors around the globe. It is being offered and hosted in Canada by Origin Wealth.
Founded in 1991, Matson Money, an RIA, operates across the US and Puerto Rico. It is also registered as a portfolio manager in Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia.
Through its coaching programs, Matson Money trains advisors on specific topics, for example portfolio diversification and avoiding missteps such as trying to time market moves.
“Canadian investors, like their US counterparts, are navigating a challenging environment, including a monopoly of institutions, a lack of independent advisor competition which can result in high fees and an emphasis on active-management strategies that can be detrimental to long-term investing,” Matson Money founder and CEO Mark Matson, said.
