Lombard International Assurance Hires To Target Independent Practitioners

Lombard International Assurance, the Luxembourg-based private bancassurance firm, has appointed Amaury de Potter d’Indoye to the newly-created role of director, independent practitioners, with effect from January 2011.
In his new role d’Indoye will be responsible for Lombard’s relationships with independent asset managers, fiduciaries, tax advisors, lawyers, accountants and family offices, taking forward independent practitioners as what the firm calls a key partner channel.
Initially, d’Indoye - who has been with the firm since 2001- will focus on potential new business partners in Switzerland, with his remit eventually being extended to include other jurisdictions, Lombard said in a statement.
“We have appointed Amaury to this important new role in order that we can better serve the particular needs of the independent practitioner segment. It is a role that requires a highly-experienced individual who is an excellent communicator with a strong understanding of wealth planning and Lombard’s business and solutions in particular,” said David Steinegger, Lombard’s chief executive.
Lombard positions itself as a pioneer in the use of life assurance as a financial planning tool for high net worth individuals. To read a recent feature giving more details on its services, click here.
