dist. grp. Lincoln Financial Network (LFN), the

Practical and theoretical
"Kathy brings with her a breadth of knowledge of clients'
financial needs and has consistently provided the means to meet
those needs," says Sanford Axelroth, LFN's head of "Advisor
Experience," which includes financial-planning services. "Her
experience as a respected educator coupled with an extensive
knowledge of the financial services industry makes her a truly
valuable asset to [LFN]."
Hartin is also academic program director and an instructor at
Rice University's CFP program. Before joining FLN she ran her own
financial-planning business as an affiliate of Springfield,
Mass.-based Mass Mutual. Before that she managed Houston-based
Kanaly Trust's financial-planning group.
LFN offers a variety of different affiliation models to
independent brokers and financial planners.
LFN head Robert Dineen says LFN is "committed to offering a
strategic national resource of intellectual capital that will
enable our advisors to provide the best fee-based planning
possible." Bringing Hartin aboard in Houston, he adds, "further
enables us to fulfill that commitment."
In addition to providing insurance, annuities and investment
products in addition to financial-planning and advisory services,
Lincoln owns three television stations, 17 radio stations and a
sports production and syndication business. -FWR
