Light Street Appoints Business Development Boss, Opens Doors In San Francisco

The California-based investment management firm has enhanced its business development capabilities as well as its footprint.

Light Street Capital Management has appointed Bill Nolan as of head of business development.

Nolan brings nearly 30 years of industry experience. He was head of marketing and investor relations at Passport Capital from 2008 to 2015, and before that, he spent eight years with Crosslink Capital.

In his new role, he will be responsible for developing and expanding Light Street's business presence and relationships with investors.

"We are confident Bill will help us continue to deliver the highest level of service to our existing clients and to grow our presence with investors seeking best-in-class investment opportunities in the technology and media sectors," said Glen Kacher, president and portfolio manager at the firm.

Light Street also announced plans to open an office in San Francisco, a move it said reflects the increasing importance of San Francisco as an “entrepreneurial and technology hub”.

The firm, based in Palo Alto, California, invests globally in public equity markets with a focus on the technology and media sectors.
