Ledyard National names trust and investment head

Ex-chief of TD Banknorth's wealth management unit moves to community bank. Norwich, Vt.-based Ledyard National Bank has named Robert Boon as its new executive v.p. and managing director of the Investment & Trust Services division.

"We are very fortunate to have someone with Bob's experience and expertise" to head the community bank's wealth-services unit, says Ledyard's president and CEO Kathryn Underwood.

Boon, who will be work from Ledyard's Hanover, N.H., branch, joins Ledyard from Portland, Maine-based TD Banknorth, where he was head of wealth management. Previously he worked at Cape Cod Bank & Trust (now part of TD Banknorth) and at State Street Corporation.

Ledyard has $699 million in assets under management and custody in its investment and trust division. -FWR
