Law Firm Withers Bergman Adds To International Team In New York

Private client law firm Withers Bergman has hired Stanley Joffe as Of Counsel - an attorney who is employed by a law firm or an organisation but is not an associate or a partner.
With over 25 years of experience in international tax and estate
planning and domestic estate planning, Mr Joffe has a background
of expertise in assisting wealthy people - especially South
Africans and Israelis - resettle in the
US in the most tax-effective manner.
Mr Joffe said: "With the advent of globalisation and the movement
of high net worth individuals from one country to another, it was
essential for me to associate with a firm that provided wealth
planning internationally."
Margaret Robertson, managing partner, said: "We are delighted
that
Stanley has decided to join us. His international reputation,
especially in
South Africa and
Israel, will be an important addition to our global offering for
high worth individuals and families."
Separately from his work in the field of international law, Mr
Joffe founded and is currently the chairman and chief executive
of Sterling Trustees, which specialises in the needs of foreign
émigrés to the
US, particularly for those families in need of independent
trustees.
