LPL Recruits Marketing Pro For Senior Role

LPL Financial, the independent broker-dealer and subsidiary of LPL Investment Holdings, has recruited Joan Khoury from Merrill Lynch as managing director and chief marketing officer, effective immediately.
Khoury is based in San Diego, CA and reports to chief financial officer Robert Moor.
As managing director and chief marketing officer, Khoury assumes responsibility for driving the company’s overall marketing strategy, in addition to enforcing programs to promote growth and innovation while extending the strategic reach of LPL Financial, the firm said.
More specifically, Khoury oversees brand strategy, advertising, corporate identity, public relations, customer communications, and field marketing. Additionally, she manages market research and analysis, marketing regulatory review and business development advertising functions.
Overall, Khoury brings over two decades of financial services experience to her new role. She joined LPL from Merrill Lynch, where she was senior vice president, strategic marketing, responsible for leading a 90-member marketing organization and developing a range of marketing programs for the firm's wealth management business.
Earlier in her career, Khoury was senior vice president, global head of marketing for Wachovia, Evergreen Investments; managing director and group head of the global marketing division for Bank of New York Mellon, and vice president, marketing manager, for Bank of America.
In other recent developments, yesterday the firm named Mimi Bock as executive vice president of independent advisor services.
