LPL Creates Chief Technology Officer Role

LPL said the creation of the role of CTO demonstrates its continued investment in technology to drive innovation and enhance advisor efficiency and productivity.

LPL Financial has brought in David Wright to fill the newly-created role of executive vice president and chief technology officer.

Wright, who reports to managing director and chief information officer Victor Fetter, will develop technology solutions with oversight of all LPL's infrastructure operations, strategy and architecture, and technology security.

Prior to joining LPL, Wright served as interim chief information officer at McGraw-Hill and before that worked at Capital One for nearly 15 years.
