Key Private Bank Names Chief Investment Officer

Key Private Bank, part of US-listed KeyCorp, has appointed George Mateyo as chief investment officer, a newly-created role.
As part of the role, Mateyo will be based in Cleveland, Ohio, and report to Joe Calabrese, national head of investments at Key Private Bank, according to a statement. This news service is seeking to find out if the role is a newly-created one and will update in due course.
Previously, Mateyo served as senior director of investments at the Cleveland Clinic. He also served as a senior consultant and MD at Hartland & Co., an investment consultancy.
Mateyo earned his MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University and a BA, from Wittenberg University. He serves on the board and as the investment committee chair at Saint Luke’s Foundation of Cleveland, and as a special advisor to the Endowment Subcommittee of Wittenberg University.
Key Private Bank services more than 24,000 high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients, and operates in 15 states across the US. It has $35.9 billion in assets under management.
