Janney Relocates SVP To Build Out North Carolina Business

Janney Montgomery Scott has relocated one of its senior vice presidents to Charlotte, NC, to build out its presence there.

Andrew Kistler, regional manager for the Southeast at Janney, joined in October 2012 and has been working temporarily at the Washington, DC branch office. He is now moving to set up a regional hub in Charlotte, from which he will lead recruiting efforts.

He will work with Charlotte branch manager Stuart Singer, who set up Janney’s office in that market in 2003.

Last year, Janney opened South Carolina offices in Aiken, Columbia and Hilton Head, and is set to open a branch office in Hendersonville, NC, and a satellite office in Asheville, NC.

Kistler, who is a native of North Carolina, has already been instrumental in hiring in the region, Janney said, bringing in David Grice to the Hendersonville office and John Kline to the Raleigh office, with more than $140 million and $180 million in client assets respectively.

“I’m excited to return to serve the community where I grew up and built my career, and look forward to continuing to develop our firm’s presence in this region,” said Kistler.

Janney is an independently-operated subsidiary of The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company and a member of the New York Stock Exchange.
