JTC receives Singapore trust licence

The Monetary Authority of Singapore has granted Kensington Trust Group, the Asian associate of private and institutional client service provider JTC, a licence to conduct trust business.

KTG already has a strong presence in Singapore, performing corporate services, setting up cross-border structures and meeting its fiduciary responsibilities by having locally resident directors for Singapore-incorporated companies. This latest development, however, allows it to offer clients specialist jurisdiction-specific fiduciary goods and services.

JTC established a strategic association with KTG in 2013, giving it a broad platform for the provision of corporate, trust and cross-border structuring services to clients throughout Asia through its well-established teams in Singapore, Hong Kong, Labuan, Malaysia and New Zealand.

JTC Kensington regards Singapore as the leading trust jurisdiction in Asia and a crucial stepping-stone to further expansion in Asia. Singapore is ranked as the third international finance centre on the globe.
