JP Morgan Asset Management Launches Two Singapore Funds

JP Morgan Asset Management has bulked up its Singapore business with the launch of two new income funds.

The Asia-Pacific Income Fund and Global Income Fund bring the suite of funds the company offers to retail investors in Singapore to seven.

The Asia-Pacific Income Fund invests mainly in income generating securities in the region, excluding Japan, while the Global Income Fund seeks to provide regular income by investing a range of income-generating asset classes globally, including high-dividend stocks, high-yield bonds, real estate investment trusts and emerging market debt.

"High dividend equities have performed remarkably well over the long term relative to the broader index in Asia. An important driver for this has been the lower volatility nature of such stocks which means they outperform during periods of market weakness," said Jeffrey Roskell, managing director and fund manager of the Asia-Pacific Income Fund.

JP Morgan Asset Management provides a range of services for local and international clients from its Singapore office. It has a network of eight offices in Asia-Pacific, including Hong Kong, Melbourne, Mumbai, Seoul, Shanghai, Taipei and Tokyo.
