Trust-accounting and wealth-management technology maker
Innovest Systems and high-net-worth investment research and
technology firm Prima Capital have teamed up to give trust
and investment professionals access to Prima Capital's web-based
PrimaGuide investment-research tool and Innovest's InnoTrust
trust system.
The tie-in also gives users access to Prima Capital's
AllocationGuide proposal-generation engine.
The integration is designed to give wealth managers the
ability to build model portfolios for use on the InnoTrust
platform and set automatic rebalancing criteria based on
threshold and minimum trade settings. Adjustments to model
portfolios can also be fed directly to the InnoTrust system, and
portfolios can be set to rebalance automatically or at the user's
discretion to mimic changes to the model.
"The ability to offer a trust-enabled wealth management solution
is becoming ever more important," says Innovest's chief executive
William Thomas. "In many cases, integrating trust capabilities
and investment advisory services is the 'missing link' for firms
seeking to holistically manage their clients' total wealth."
Ten-year-old Prima, originally a spin-off from KPMG's
investment-advisory-services practice, provides research and
technologies that support separately managed accounts, mutual
funds, exchange-traded funds and alternatives for use on
open-architecture investment platforms.
Denver-based Prima's owner Matrix Financial Solutions and New
York-based Innovest share indirect common ownership through the
private-equity firm Bluff Point Associates.
