Informa completes Mobius manager-database merger

Performance tracker's new Mobius and PSN investment manager
database. Informa Investment Solutions has completed the merger
of its own PSN asset-manager database with a similar offering
from Mobius, creating the largest separately managed account
database available.
Earlier this year Informa acquired M-Solutions, formerly known as
the Mobius Group, from CheckFree Investment Services. The newly
merged database has information on more than 2,000 investment
management firms and 10,000 investment products.

"Not only will we be delivering added value to our clients by
providing more data and information on more managers than any
other database in the marketplace today, but we are also reducing
the workload of the participating managers who will now only
provide data to one organization rather than two," says Margaret
Tobiasen, Informa Investment Solution's head of research.
The merged system is available through Informa's enterprise
technology platform as well as third-party systems.
Informa's database was initially called Plan Sponsor Network
because it was intended for institutional investors. But as the
system has come to be used by managers, consultants, brokers and
others, the name was changed to PSN.
