Head Of Personal Advisors At Ameriprise To Step Down

Ameriprise has confirmed that the head of its personal advisors business is stepping down but staying at the firm.

The president of Ameriprise Financial’s Personal Advisors Group, Donald Froude, is stepping down at the end of the month, Family Wealth Report can confirm.

The move is part of a transition that has been in the works for the past year and Ameriprise is not filling the role. Froude, who joined in 2008, is however going to remain at the firm, working on field initiatives and projects.

Meanwhile, Pat O’Connell will continue to lead the firm’s employee advisor channel, and Bill Williams will head the firm’s independent advisor business – both reporting to chairman and chief executive, Jim Cracchiolo.
