HSBC Private Bank Taps Barclays Private Bank for UK NRI Head
HSBC Private Bank has appointed Kurien Korah as head of the UK Global South Asian Diaspora market.
He joins from Barclays Private Bank in London where he was a director. Prior to that he was head of the non-resident Indian business in the UK and Europe at Citibank in London.
Mr Korah will lead HSBC Private Bank’s GSAD team across the UK, Channel Islands and Switzerland. He will join in November and will report to Michael Mount, managing director, head of GSAD Europe & Americas.
According to a statement, HSBC Private Bank’s objective is to become the leading player in this key market.
Stephen Herbert, senior banker in the UK GSAD market will assume responsibility for credit and banking book.
