HSBC's Private Bank Expands West Coast Presence

The private banking is expanding in the Seattle and surrounding market.

HSBC Global Private Banking, Americas intends to ramp up its West Coast presence by expanding to the Seattle market, HSBC announced earlier this week.

The office will be led by Mark Pittsey, market head for the West region. Pittsey will look to bring on top talent, including relationship managers, investment councellors and support staff, the banking group said in a statement.

The private bank will work with the group’s commercial banking and retail banking and wealth management teams.

The Seattle area is already home to several private banking and wealth management firms. Last October, Mercury Capital Advisors announced it was creating a Seattle office; Citi Private Bank operates in the city, as do UBS and US Trust.
