Greenwich-Based Private Bank Hires MD For New York Office

Fieldpoint Private, the wealth advisory and private banking firm, has hired Robert Rigoroso as managing director for its office in New York.

Rigoroso joins from Bank of America’s US Trust unit, where he advised on roughly $1.5 billion of assets for families and institutions. Before that, he worked for Citigroup’s private bank.

The firm officially opened its Park Avenue offices in January.

Robert Matthews, the company’s president and chief executive, said in a statement that the firm’s assets under administration have grown tenfold to nearly $3 billion in the past year. At the start of the year, the firm nabbed a New York-based advisory team from Wilmington Trust, where it managed nearly $1 billion in assets.

Fieldpoint Private was set up in 2008 and is headquartered in Greenwich, CT.
