Goldman Sachs Loses Private Wealth Recruitment Head

Peter Roth, head of recruitment for private wealth management at Goldman Sachs, left the company earlier this month.

Roth was hired from Lehman Brothers, where he led recruiting for the private client business, in September last year. At that time, Goldman Sachs announced it planned to increase client-facing head count by more than 40 per cent over the next three to four years.

Peter Scaturro, former chief executive of US Trust, joined Goldman Sachs in July as global head of Private Wealth Management. He took on a newly created position amid an expansion of Goldman's wealth management operation, which caters to clients with at least $10 million to invest.

According to Goldman Sachs, Roth's duties have been absorbed by the human capital management office.
