Global Property Firm Names Former Goldman Senior Exec, US Govt Advisor As CEO

Cushman & Wakefield, the global real estate firm that frequently makes predictions on market trends, has appointed Edward Forst as president and chief executive, taking up the role from January 6 next year.

Cushman & Wakefield, the global real estate firm that
frequently makes predictions on market trends, has appointed Edward Forst as president
and chief executive, taking up the role from January 6 next year.

Forst joins Cushman &
Wakefield
having previously worked at Goldman Sachs as global co-head of
the investment management division. Most recently, he served as an advisor to
Fenway Partners, a private investment firm.

He was also, during the crisis period of 2008-2009, selected
to be the first executive vice president and principal operating officer of Harvard University,
leading its non-academic affairs. He also served as advisor to the Secretary of the
Treasury of the US.

The role of president and CEO has been held on an interim
basis for the past five months by Carlo Barel di Sant’Albano.

Cushman & Wakefield, a privately-held organization, has almost
$4 billion in assets under management globally.
