Gibraltar Private Bank Adds To Florida HQ

Gibraltar Private Bank has appointed Jonathan Hill as investment strategy specialist for its Coral Gables, Florida headquarters.
Hill previously served as a trader analyst with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York's treasury market policy group and cross market monitoring group. Prior to that, he was a trader and junior fund manager at BAC Florida Investments in Miami and an analyst at ABN AMRO in London and New York. At his new role, he will be working within the bank's wealth management division.
Gibraltar Private has seen several executive shifts over the last two months, which include the hire of Randall Vitale as senior vice president for Broward County and the resignations of senior vice president Danilo Rodriguez in early July, and wealth management managing director Matthew Lapides in June. The bank had been embroiled in a $1.2 million Ponzi scheme in late 2010 and is currently awaiting the first examination by the Office of the Comptroller this year.
