The Atlanta, GA-headquartered wealth advisory firm SignatureFD has promoted its director of operations, Heather Fortner, to chief operating officer - a new role at the firm.

Fortner – who also serves as SignatureFD's chief compliance officer – will now oversee business strategy and projects that impact client experience, team performance and overall firm success, it said.

In other recent news, last week SignatureFD launched a dedicated wealth management initiative for executives, at a time of heightened industry interest around the business benefits of targeting niche client segments.
