FundQuest launches trust-centic investment platform

Firm targets trust companies and banks looking to broaden investment offerings. FundQuest has launched a new turnkey asset-management platform to help banks, trust companies and other wealth-managers integrate in-house investment products with third-party managers and mutual funds selected and vetted by the FundQuest’s investment-management team.

“FundQuest has provided open architecture services and best of breed investment choices to the broker dealer networks of banks, insurance companies and independent firms since 1993,” says Bill Butcher, a senior v.p. at Boston-based FundQuest. “Now we are working with firms [that] want to be able to select from the same open array of investments for their clients who may benefit from a trust platform.”

The new web-based platform combines FundQuest’s best-of-breed investment program with third-party trust administration services. FundQuest says it provides “comprehensive operational support” that includes integration with third-party trust accounting systems and with the tax and year-end reporting features of regulated trust company.

FundQuest is a subsidiary of Paris-based BNP Paribas Asset Management. It has over $30 billion in assets under management and administration from its combined U.S. and European operations. –FWR
