Fund, Investment Banking Specialist Joins Thorp Alberga

The law firm Thorp Alberga has added Richard Mansi - formerly of Royal Bank of Scotland - to its roster of partners in the Cayman Islands.

Mansi has held a number of senior investment banking roles: at RBS he was managing director responsible for fund derivative and related structuring, and before that he worked for Deutsche Bank. He has also been a partner at the law firm Maples and Calder, where he was based in London in charge of the firm’s investment funds practice.

During his career Mansi has advised 80 hedge, mutual and private equity funds, investment managers and lead managers/placing agents. He has also advised eight investment banking firms on the launch of some 100 fund related investment structures, derivatives and financings.

“His [Mansi's] highly specialised experience as a lawyer and investment banker will prove invaluable,” partner Michael Alberga said in a statement.
